Zoomlion Ghana Limited is set to intensify their 1 Bin 1 Household project which will see to it that every home gets a bin to help in the fight against our sanitation problem to ensure our communities are cleaned, Chief Executive Officer for the JOSPONG Group of Companies, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong has said.

The award winning CEO made this pronouncement at a function at the Alisa Hotel in Accra yesterday, January 10 which witnessed the JOSPONG Group interacting with Media houses in the country to discuss the way forward in 2019 as far as cleaning our communities and tackling Ghana’s sanitation problem is concerned.

The intensified project which they are calling “The Power of the Bin” is going to be rolled out with the help of some key partners including ECOBANK Ghana who have granted money to help in the production of millions of bins which will be distributed for free to households upon registering for the noble course.

“Indeed currently we are advocating the One Million Household Bin Project which has kick started already to ensure that every household is given a waste bin to dispose of their waste for collection”, Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong said whiles addressing the gathering.

Zoomlion is additionally looking forward to adopting different avenues to ensure that the collection of waste and its transfer to disposable sites is improved. They are therefore introducing an Ultra-Modern Temporal Waste Holding site at various location to make the collection of waste and it’s dumping to recycling sites more convenient.

“To increase the rate at which we collect waste from households, Zoomlion again introduced an Ultra-Modern Temporal Waste Holding Site in Achimota and Teshie. These facilities hold waste from various communities thereby saving time, cost of travelling long distances and easing traffic to the final disposal sites among other streets, he said.

Dr. Joseph Siaw Agyapong further emphasized that Waste Management companies are doing their best to ensure the Presidents dream of making Accra the cleanest city in Africa is achieved. In line with that, Zoomlion being the largest waste company in the country has taken the initiate and adopted the above measures together with other policies to help realize that dream.
