His Royal Highness, the Paramount Chief of the Nyankpala Traditional Area – Naa Alhaji Abdulai Yakubu informs all that, considering what happened to him and his delegation of close to fifty (50) vehicles and about two thousand (2000) people in Yendi as soon as they arrived yesterday Friday, the 11Th January, 2019 to participate in the performance of the late Overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II, The Funeral of the late Overlord will not be performed.

He wish to inform the Chairman of the Committee of Eminent Chief, Asantehene Otumfou Osei Tutu II as well as the President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo that, there is a hidden agenda behind their desirous push to ensure the performance of the funeral the late King.

The question he ask is that, how can you be leading a delegation of close to fifty (50) vehicles with a very large population cause problem in Yendi? But the Abudus kept shooting and stoning him and his delegation until they got to Kulkpen-ni (outskirt of Yendi) leaving some of his entourage to receive bullet wounds. The Car in which he was received bullets perforating it and breaking the door glass of the passenger side of the vehicle. Meanwhile, they place was not like that before they arrived.

In conclusion, he wish to categorical state that since the Regent of Dagbon, Kanpakuya-naa Abdulai is in the center of this matter it will be odd for him to say it, He Nyankpal-lana Abdulai Yakubu stands and says that, the funeral will not be performed.
